Is Ms. Marvel set to appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

With the groundswell of talk that Marvel are about to launch a female superhero movie. Devin Faraci of Badass Digest is claiming that he has inside sources that suggest Marvel Studios has definite plans for Ms. Marvel in the upcoming Avengers sequel.

“I have information about multiple drafts of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and all feature a cameo by a character the script calls Ms. Marvel (nothing else, including a civilian name or basic look, is specified). It’s a cameo, so it could change at any time, but the character is planned for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

If the rumors are true one person who will not be playing Carol Danvers alter ego will be Katee Sackhoff. Who after leading the internet on a merry dance confirmed yesterday that the “mystery role” she is playing will not be a Marvel character.

Clue #4 Secret Project NOT a @Marvel project. Xoxo

Whedon revealed he has placed four prominent female figures into The Avengers 2. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) are already part of the roster, and we know Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) will be in the movie, so that makes three. The rumors about Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel appearing in the sequel would fill in the fourth slot.

Andrew McCarroll never quite built on the dizzying career heights that he hit at 6 years old, when as a member of the “Ghostbusters” he would charge his neighbours to remove any unwanted spectres. Now retired from slaying spooks, he spends his time obsessing over superheroes (especially Batman) and devouring shows like Dexter, Game of Thrones and Archer in a manner that would make Galactus proud.
