New poster for CW’s The Flash is full of Easter Eggs

The CW has delivered a brand new poster for their Arrow spin-off series The Flash, which you can check out above.

The poster features Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in his Flash costume zipping through the city with a lightning streak behind him and several Easter eggs.

The new tagline, “Discover what makes a hero,” hints at Allen’s journey to becoming a superhero.

Queen Consolidated‘s logo is at the top on the right. That’s the company owned (previously) by Oliver Queen in Arrow of course.

Wayne Enterprises or something else? That tower on the left, opposite of Queen’s Consolidated, has some fans online speculating that it could be Wayne Enterprises. While Batman is not likely to show up in either Arrow or Flash, there is a Wayne Enterprises Easter egg in the Flash pilot.

Others say it’s GothCorp owned by Ferris Boyle. Dr. Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze was a brilliant scientist and cryonics expert working for GothCorp.

Still others say it says Stagg as in Simon Stagg.

Big Belly Burger one of the fast-food franchises in DC Comics, which has appeared in Arrow as well.

Grodd lives is what the grafitti on the sidewalk says, next to the hydrant on the bottom right. Gorilla Grodd is a classic Flash villain whose existence is hinted at in the pilot.

Palmer Technologies  The blurry bottom left seems like the Palmer Technologies ad seen in a previous TV spot.

S.T.A.R. Labs appears on the right. The facility where the particle accelerator exploded, giving Barry Allen his powers. In the comics Victor Stone becomes Cyborg there as well.

Amertek was a company that employed weapons engineer John Henry Irons aka Steel, in the comics. Eventually Irons had a change of heart and left the industry. His life was later saved by Superman, which began his journey towards becoming a superhero.

Kord Industries is owned by Ted Kord and has been mentioned on Arrow many times. Does this mean that Kord aka Blue Beetle will show up at some point?

Some other ones are hard to make out, did you catch any?

The cast of The Flash show includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father, Detective West, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne aka Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon aka Vibe, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow aka Killer Frost, Robbie Amell as Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen, John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, Clancy Brown as General Wade Eiling, and Greg Finley as Tony Woodard aka Girder.

The Flash arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with Arrow pilot director David Nutter at the helm.

The Flash will premiere on October 7th.
