Director Josh Boone has confirmed that the next X-Men movie will begin shooting in May 2017.

Production is set to start on what is the seventh film in the series but while we can only speculate on what the movie will be about, it is thought the New Mutants storyline will be front and centre.

Fox are favouring a mini-reboot of the main X-Men line of movies following the poor box office return of X-Men: Apocalypse.

The new film will film in Montreal, the same as Apocalypse and Days of Future Past.
