Following the new teaser and news that Mockingbird will be in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, several new cast announcements have been made. Xena and Spartacus actress Lucy Lawless will play the veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, Isabel Hartly.
Secret Warriors villain, Daniel Whitehall, aka Kraken will be the main antagonist for the season. In the comics, Kraken was one of the founding members of Hydra.
Nick Blood will play Lance Hunter.
Lance Hunter was created by Gary Friedrich, and first penciled by Herb Trimpe. Hunter made his debut in Captain Britain Weekly #19 on February 16th, 1977. He was the UK, and S.T.R.I.K.E., counterpart to Marvel’s Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast includes Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, along with Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons
The series is executive produced by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 will premiere on September 23rd. The new season will air in Tuesdays at 9.
