The Walking Dead is nearly with us but before then AMC are planning a two hour retrospective next week.
The Walking Dead: Journey So Far will recap the entire series, stopping for clips of key or pivotal moments, with cast and showrunner interviews adding more perspective. The special will air on October 16 from 9-11pm on AMC – a week before the official season 7 premiere.
Talking of the new season, executive producer Greg Nicotero has been talking with Kevin Smith on AMC’s Geeking Out and he warned fans that the opening episode of season 7 will make them “mad”.
“It was the hardest episode I’ve ever directed,” he said. “There’s so much more that happens in that episode that is more heartbreaking than that moment, that by the time the episode’s over it’s almost too much. It’s that intense. It just keeps getting worse. It goes lower and lower and lower and lower.”
