The planned third Cloverfield, God Particle, has been pushed back by its studio.
Previously set for a 24 February 24 2017 release date, Paramount has delayed the film until 27 October the same year.
No word on why things have changed given that the only movie up against it would have been eighth Saw film.
The plot for God Particle is said to revolve around an American space station that, after an accident with a particle accelerator, suddenly finds that Earth has vanished altogether. Things get stranger when they then pick up traces of another space station nearby.
It will star David Oyelowo, John Krasinski and Daniel Bruhl, directed by Julius Onah with a script by Oren Uziel and latterly Doug Jung.
