James Wan may be set to start The Trench a little sooner than planned with everyone’s favorite aquatic-based hero Aquaman being put on hold due to the movie’s lead, Jason Momoa, being held up in Hawaii joining in protesters and activists to stop a giant telescope being built.
Now, apparently Jason was run over by a bulldozer while he was protesting at Mauna Kea, Hawaii’s tallest mountain that also happens to be a dormant volcano and one of Hawaii’s most sacred sites.
I know reports say he got ran over by a bulldozer but I think at the same time you have to take that with a grain of salt, odds are the bulldozer would have taken more damage than Momoa anyway…
Aquaman isn’t the only one to be taking part in the protests either with future DC star and Samoan descendant Dwayne Johnson and Leo DiCaprio also involved.
So, depending on when this protest may be over, and counting on Jason not to get run over by any other bulldozers then we can expect to see Aquaman 2 filming next year with a placeholder release date of December 2022.
