It looks like Robert Downey Jnr won’t be the only OG, as they say, returning for Avengers Doomsday.
Following the news from San Deigo Comic Con during the summer that Downey Jnr was returning to the MCU but not as Tony Stark but rather a multiverse version of Doctor Doom, fans started wondering who else would be coming back.
And now we know that Chris Evans will be returning to the MCU too.

But as who? Well, that’s the big question? You see, after Evans’ hilarious return as Johnny Storm in this year’s Deadpool and Wolverine, it means his return doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be back as Captain America or Steve Rogers; he could be Johnny Storm again, he could be a variant Captain America, he could even, like Downey Jnr be a villainous character from somewhere in the multiverse… heck, having Captain America and Iron Man both back at the same time only as the bad guys might be pretty cool.
Avengers: Doomsday will see the Infinity War and Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo return and rumours are going mad about who will be in it, with the movie teased to be Marvel’s biggest outing yet.
It’s also strange that this news breaks as word is that Captain America: Brave New World is still receiving poor early reviews ahead of its 2025 release.
Anyway, are you excited to see Evans back? Does it matter to you who he’s playing? Let us know, guys…
