Days of Future Past Getting An Extended Cut Release?

August 6th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

It’s easy to say that Days of Future Past truly brought the X-Men franchise back from the dead. True, First Class was great, but it didn’t get the money many thought it should. DoFP however not only did that, but it “fixed” the X-Men timeline and showed that the franchise still has a lot going for it. But what if the movie still has more to show?

According to Dark Horizons, Days of Future Past will be re-released in 2015 (a few months after it’s original DVD/Blu-Ray release) with a special extended cut. What’s so special about that you ask? Well, it was well noted that Bryan Singer had to cut out certain subplots in the movie for time and editing reasons. A big subplot featuring Rogue being rescued by Iceman and Magneto.

What else could be in the extended cut? Who knows! That’s what’s so exciting!

Until then, we can look forward to the theatrical version release on DVD on September 23, and on Blu-Ray October 14th.
