We recently reported that the New Kingsman 2 image above could suggest that Colin Firth’s character ‘Harry Hart’ might not be dead after all and today there’s been some more exciting character news.

It has been revealed (via Squareeyed) that there’s even more to be excited about with Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal (below) cast in the film playing a character called Jack Daniels. Pascal is probably most famous for playing Oberyn Martell but he’s also recently featured in Netflix’s original series Narcos.

Meanwhile, Taron Egerton is back for the sequel reprising his role as Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin alongside new cast Julianne Moore and Halle Berry.

In terms of the plot, film executives continue to remain pretty tight-lipped on the situation however, director Matthew Vaughn caught up with Empire Magazine and gave them a bit of a heads up: “I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot.”

It sounds like it’s all coming together nicely then! After the success of its predecessor, we’ll be hoping that Kingsman: The Golden Circle delivers.

The film is due to start production later in the year with the film being released in cinemas on June 10, 2017.
