Now, this is just a rumour for now, but were hearing it from a few reliable sources, so we reckon there’s something to it…
George Lucas may be working with director JJ Abrams on Star Wars Episode IX to make sure the franchise is back on track and especially that Luke Skywalker who, in my opinion, was treated horribly in The Last Jedi, gets the satisfactory ending he’s been working towards for the duration of the Star Wars franchise.
According to a new report Lucas will be working on the legacy characters and how they interact with the new characters: “George Lucas was involved in numerous sequences to fine-tune some of the legacy characters and their interactions with some of the sequel trilogy characters.
“George Lucas directed and guided JJ Abrams with Mark Hamill in exactly how the character of Luke Skywalker should be done.
He will also be involved in some of the reshoots and editing techniques he will be overseeing during the reshoots in April and post production, which is set to end all the way in September and into October this year.”
Now, if this is true, then it pretty much clarifies that Disney/Lucasfilm realise The Last Jedi was a big mis-step for the franchise and bringing in the man who created it all is an attempt to bring the franchise to a satisfying close.
If it’s not true, well, we wish it was.
