It wouldn’t be a normal week without some Star Wars Episode VII rumour and speculation, so without further ado…
We’ve been hearing rumours of Stormtroopers who are black and others who are chrome – chrometroopers? And, here now is apparent concept art from the movie that shows them. And, to be honest, it looks great. Although we’re a little confused as to why there’s a hood too, but it still looks great.
According to the guys at IndieRevolver: “The chrome troopers do not actually wear a hood or covering in the film. The metal collar stands up from the torso armor and curves up on the sides before dipping down again at the back.” So, shut our mouths.
But we really DO like the looks of this. Oh, and here is an early design apparently and the rumour is it was designed by prequel designer Doug Chiang:
And finally, this other dynamic piece popped up too that seems to show Luke (?) in a lightsaber fight with someone while a rebel trooper looks on and – pretty awesomely – the Millennium Falcon hovers above; could this be the rescuing of Luke Skywalker who is rumoured to be captured at the start of the movie?
Star Wars Episode VII is due out on 18 December 2015.
