Aquaman star Jason Momoa has revealed that Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom has started on filming in London.
Taking to social media, below, the star said that he’s going to be filming in London and that he will be dying his hair blonde this time out. The star also told fans he was looking forward to seeing James Wan and the whole cast.
Now, given the climate and things being a little crazy in the world in general, some people see this as Warner Bros finally distancing themselves from Zack Snyder’s Aquaman, however, I would like to remind everyone that, when Momoa’s Aquaman was first revealed to the world in 2015 in the ‘Unite the Seven’ poster, he was rocking blonde highlights. So, it could be argued that, rather than distancing itself from Snyder, this vision may be returning to his roots. Ahem.
Although, let’s be honest, we all know it’s more of a nod to the comics’ Aquaman who is, traditionally, a blonde, right.
The Lost Kingdom will feature original stars Momoa, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Patrick Wilson and they will be joined by Pilou Asbaek.
Director James Wan is also returning for the movie which is due on December 22nd, 2022.
