Looks like one of favourite comedians, Kevin Hart, is set to have a prominent role in the upcoming Borderlands movie.
The adaptation of the videogame series will see Hart playing the soldier Roland who, I’m told, is a big character in the game (I do declare I have never played it).
While very little is known about the movie, director Eli Roth has been chatty about Hart’s casting, saying it’ll be unlike anything Hart has done so far.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Kevin,” Roth said.
“Borderlands is a different kind of role for him, and we are excited to thrill audiences with a side of Kevin they’ve never seen before. He’s going to be an amazing Roland.”
Hart joins Cate Blanchett who will play another major character, Lilith, in the games.
The movie, while still shrouded in mystery, is penned by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin, so there’s no arguing there’s real talent going into this adaptation.
