Is Jessica Chastain making a bid for Poison Ivy?

Has Jessica Chastain just dropped a hint about casting decisions for Gotham Sirens?

The Zero Dark Thirty star was recently interviewed by CinemaBlend, and the issue of the Suicide Squad spinoff came up. Chastain had this to say about it:

I’m interested in all things where the characters are strong and dynamic, and not stereotypes or objects. I like female characters that are subjects, not objects. And so, if Poison Ivy happens to be that, sure. Throw my hat in the ring.

Rumours have been circulating since the go-ahead for Gotham Sirens was announced, as to who would be starring alongside Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn as Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Clearly, Chastain is open to the possibility, but maybe she knows more than she’s letting on…

What do you think? Would Jessica Chastain be a good choice for Ivy? Let us know.

Personally, I’m still holding out for Christina Hendricks…
