Fresh from Disney’s D23 expo, we have a shiny new Star Wars trailer!
And oh boy, is it intended to tug at the heartstrings of pure nostalgia. Take a look at ‘er right here:
So, in the most nostalgic Star Wars trailer since the Revenge of the Sith teaser we get snippets from the other eight films in the main Skywalker saga. We get some kick-ass effects. We get C-3PO with either new red eyes or the reflection of a Sith lightsaber in them… and most importantly, we get the confirmation of the earlier rumours about Rey. Wielding a dual red lightsaber.
Now it’s easy to speculate at this stage: is it just a vision? Is it a major plot point? Only time will tell.
