Earlier this week, confirmed cast member of the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel Emily Alyn Lind shared what appeared to be a behind-the-scenes photo to Instagram, asking her followers, “Who ya gonna call,” while wearing a cap that featured a somewhat familiar, albeit slightly different rendition of the famed no-ghost logo and our good friend Jason at Ghostbusters News has, as always, all the details.
The redesign sees the icon ghost, otherwise known as Mooglie, paired perfectly with London Underground’s roundel symbol, as “FIREHOUSE,” the film’s working title is displayed across the blue bar, in addition to “UK CREW 2023,” placed near the bottom.

As predicted, it didn’t take long for franchise groups to begin posting their own reproduced takes, but for those holding out for the actual logo used by Ghost Corps, GB News were in contact with Andy Bottomley, the artist tasked with the internal redesign. Bottomly, a UK-based graphic designer whose previous credits include Warner Bros. and the BBC, admitted that he still pinches himself after being given the opportunity to take on the redesign:
The original Ghostbusters logo is credited to the late Michael C. Gross, who talked about its origin, saying: “I designed it, but I didn’t create the concept. It’s in Danny Aykroyd’s script. As an art director, I had two artists work on it, and I developed it,” with the script describing it as simply, ‘Casper inside the symbol’.
Man, as June 8th, Ghostbusters Day, approaches, I’m getting more and more excited to hear what goodies are coming and hoping that we will get more details on the new Ghostbusters movie as well as the previously announced animated movie, comic series and much more.
It’s a great time to be a Ghosthead, ain’t it?
