It will be a day long remembered…
It looks like one of favourite actresses/people/legends of all time, Sigourney Weaver, is set to head to a galaxy far, far away!
The star of Ghostbusters, Aliens, Cabin in the Woods, Galaxy Quest and so, so much more is in talks to join Jon Favreau’s big-screen Star Wars debut, The Mandalorian & Grogu which is, we’re hearing, getting ready to film very, very soon.
We have no word on what role Weaver is set to play as of now as very little is known about the movie which is based on The Mandalorian series on Disney+ and the movie is expected to pick up from the third series with likely connections to The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka or, as it’s become known, the Mandoverse.
Pedro Pascal is fully expected to return as [the voice of] Din Djarin, the Mandalorian of the title but as for who else will appear? It’s unclear… though I’ve heard rumours that we could see Mark Hamill return as Luke Skywalker [or the digital Luke at least] providing he can take time off from his busy political tweeting schedule.
I’m very excited by the idea of Weaver coming into the Star Wars universe and can’t wait to see what her role will be… as long as they dont’ do her dirty like they did Christopher Lloyd in season three.
Thoughts? I wanna hear them…
