The Bear star Jeremy Allen White joins Mandalorian & Grogu movie but you’ll never guess as who!

Ok, look, I thought this was a wind-up but it’s not.

The Bear star Jeremy Allen White, has joined the cast of the now-in-post-production Mandalorian & Grogu movie, which is cool because The Bear is a phenomenal show and White is a solid actor.

We learned that his role would be significant and wouldn’t be a cameo but rather an integral character to the plot and we know that the movie already has Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver on board and is the first big screen Star Wars since the damp squib of Rise of Skywalker, so there’s a lot of eyes on it and hope riding on it.

Simon Kinberg developing new Star Wars trilogy… Episodes X, XI and XII?

However, it seems that his role has also been revealed and I still can’t believe it.

White will reportedly play/voice the son of Jabba the Hutt, Rotta the Hutt, below.

No, seriously.

Way, way back when The Clone Wars movie hit cinemas in 2008, we learned that Jabba has a son, Rotta, a baby during the Clone Wars who was at one point abducted by Count Dooku and the Separatists who blamed the Jedi of abducting the child and even made it look like they killed him – Dooku did this to get the Hutts on their side and, more importantly, against the Jedi.

Luckily, Anakin Skywalker and his then-new apprentice Ahsoka Tano, was able to rescue Rotta, return him to Jabba and and foil Dooku’s plan.

Where this all fits into the story of the Mando & Grogu movie is anyone’s guess, but given the timeline, Jabba is dead and gone about ten years ar this point and perhaps Rotta has stepped in to take his place? We know Jabba’s Palace was not the home to a Hutt during the events of The Book of Boba Fett, so how this all fits together is anyone’s guess right now but I love this deep cut and casting and it has me wondering… will we see Temuera Morrison back as Boba Fett too? I really, really hope so.

Thoughts, I know you have them, guys!

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer.
