Big news as it seem DC/Warner’s long-in-production and oft-delayed Flash movie is finally getting another start-up.
While there has been fears that Ezra Miller was gone from the role in recent weeks, it seems that the train is leaving the station and has a whole new team behind it.
The movie is tipped to be written by Bumblebee and Birds of Prey’s Christina Hodson with IT director Andy Muschietti hotly tipped to direct.
If this is all true, it lends weight to the rumblings we’re hearing of how great the upcoming Birds of Prey is and, let’s be honest, most of us liked Bumblebee, so Hodson writing may be good news.
This of course means that writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are now gone but, as has been the same the whole way through, Miller remains as Barry Allen/Flash.
The addition of Muschietti in the director’s chair is interesting, especially if it still goes down the road of Flashpoint, which sees the DC Universe being completely re-written when Barry Allen goes back in time to save his murdered mum… and it would be a great way to explain the changing of Batman from Ben Affleck to Robert Pattinson.
After Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam! and with Wonder Woman 84, Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad 2 on the way, it looks like Warners/DC has finally grown confident in their product.
Now, what about that #SnyderCut?
What say you all?
