So, if there’s one thing the nerd community loves, it’s a good juicy rumour they can run with.
And today I have a doozy for you.
So, Marvel/Disney are looking to cast a secret character codenamed The Benefactor for an upcoming MCU movie.
The character is “mysterious and nefarious” and will be played by a “male actor, preferably Caucasian, in their 40s to 60s” and their scenes will film before the year’s end in atlanta.
So it sounds like a major new character is being set up for an upcoming new MCU entry.
But who?
Well, the rumour is it’s Norman Osborne AKA Green Goblin – one of Spider-man’s most dangerous enemies – and that none other than Tom Hanks is in the crosshairs for the role.
However, I believe Norman is an obvious choice and believe that it may be The Mandarin (not played by Hanks, obviously), especially given that Marvel commander-in-chief Kevin Feige recently confirmed work in moving forward with the character.
Even without Tony Stark.
Could The Mandarin be connected to the upcoming Shang-Chi movie?
Hmmmmmmmm…
That said, something about Tom Hanks as an upcoming big bad in the MCU kinda gets my blood pumping… that’s the sort of casting I could really get behind.
What say you all?
