Well, it’s happening… Tom Holland is returning for his fourth solo outing as ol’ web-head.

The script is being written and the movie is set to begin filming next summer with a July 2026 release date officially in Sony/Disney’s schedule.

But what can we expect of the story? Well, in a recent interview, Holland said of the script: “It needs work but the writers are doing a great job. I read it 3 weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down, read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room.”

Lord and Miller say Spider-man: Beyond the Spider-verse will only be released when it’s ready

He also said that, given a chance, he’d love to become the mentor to Miles Morales, setting him up as the MCU’s new Spider-man: “If I would be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU, I’d love to do for a young kid what [Robert] Downey [Jr.] did for me.” Could he be preparing to step down as Peter Parker?

Holland has also recently signed on to star in Christopher Nolan’s next project along with Matt Damon.

As for Spider-man 4 and what it will bring, be it a street-level adventure or more multiverse madness, only time will tell but whatever happens, we will be seated on July 24th, 2026 when it hits cinemas.

Meanwhile, here’s your first look at the Spider-man: Noir series starring Nicholas Cage in which we follow Ben Reilly (Cage), a private investigator, as he stumbles down a rabbit hole of corruption in 1933 New York City, while also establishing his past as a superhero. Reilly investigates the death of Edward Addison, which leads him to discover that the Mayor is up to something nefarious that involves crime boss Silvermane and femme fatale Yuri Watanabe:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
