After TRON LEGACY and Oblivion, Joeseph Kosinski is one of my favourite directors, in fact I have him secretly pegged to helm a Star Wars film (but that might be just me), so whenever I hear of a new project he’s involved in while we wait for the next TRON, I can’t help but feel enthused.
So, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Kosinski is currently attached the on/off/on big screen Twilight Zone adaptation.
While details are hazy right now – will it be one story? Several small stories? – I’m confident that with his ability to handle character, story AND effects, he’s the man for the job.
Now Lucasfilm/Disney are you paying attention?
UPDATE:
Aintitcool are reporting that Kosinski and producer Leonardo DiCaprio have hired a virtual unknown to pen the adaptation of Rod Serling’s classic show: Aron (Ari) Eli Coleite. He has a picture in development called THE END, but his resume primarily consists of TV credits on shows like CROSSING JORDAN, HEROES, and THE RIVER. He actually functioned in various producing capacities on HEROES for its entire run.
So, does hiring an unknown doom the movie or do you reckon DiCaprio and Kosinski are smart enough to know what they’re doing? Let us know…
