We all know that the Batgirl movie at Warner Bros/DC was canceled a few weeks ago, much to the surprise of those who worked on it and to the fans waiting to see it later this year.
To our understanding, the movie was all shot and the visual effects were being added and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were preparing for the world to see their follow up to Bad Boys For Life.
On top of this, the cast was pretty great with Leslie Grace playing Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, JK Simmons set to play Commissioner James Gordon once more and Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne/Batman stepping up too along with the movie’s villain in the form of Brendan Fraser as Firefly. Look, with a cast like that, no matter how bad it was, we were excited to see it, even of it was silly fun.
We do a big round-up of why we reckon it was shelved and what the DCEU’s next step is here.
However, like the titular heroine herself, swooping in to save the day, Corridor Crew stepped up, using all the leaked footage and images from the movie’s filming along with glimpses of how Firefly would look, to cut together a trailer for a movie that we’ll never see and, while it’s not that big of a consolation prize, it is, nonetheless, pretty cool.
Check out the process below and the full trailer below that.
