I love Hellboy – even the last movie – and I especially loved Guillermo Del Toro’s take on the character but I have to say, an Evil Dead/Folk Horror Hellboy movie was not on my bingo card but I’m genuinely intrigued.

The first trailer for Hellboy: The Crooked Man has been released. Jack Kesy (12 Strong) stars as Hellboy. Brian Taylor (Crank) directed the film with a script penned by Hellboy comic book creator Mike Mignola and Chris Golden.

Set in the 1950s, rookie BPRD agent Bobbie Jo Song finds herself in a dire situation when tasked with delivering a spider to the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. She must enlist the help of Hellboy to confront the malevolent Crooked Man, who has returned to Earth to harvest souls for the devil.

The cast features Jack Kesy as Hellboy, Adeline Rudolph as Bobbie Jo Song, and Jefferson White as Tom Ferrel, along with Leah McNamara, Joseph Marcell, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale in pivotal roles.

Millennium Media bought the rights to Hellboy in 2018. The Eisner Award-winning Hellboy: The Crooked Man comic debuted in July 2008 to correspond with the cinema release of Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Millennium Media presents Hellboy: The Crooked Man in association with Dark Horse Entertainment – A Nu BoyanaProduction in association with Campbell Grobman Film.Producers for The Crooked Man include Dark Horse Entertainment’s Mike Richardson, and Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, Les Weldon, Rob Van Norden, and Yariv Lerner. Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
