Amidst rumors that a trailer will soon be released for next year’s Ghostbusters sequel, the franchise’s social media accounts have teased that “something strange is coming soon”, writes Jason over at Ghostbusters News.
Hopes were high that Halloween would provide fans with their first preview of the film, codenamed Firehouse, but that treat wasn’t in the cards. Instead, a brief video that perfectly captured the essence of the spooky season was shared, culminating with the chilling rendition of the iconic no-ghost logo, first seen in the sequel’s teaser poster.

While the short video, above, is certainly up for interpretation, its posting comes as rumors continue to swirl that a trailer for Firehouse is imminent, with several outlets pegging a release within the coming weeks. Additionally, subtitles for the film have been thrown about, among them “Frozen Empire” and “The New Ice Age,” with neither confirmed through Sony Pictures or those at Ghost Corps.

Now, we typically try to stay away from the rumor mill, but given that Firehouse is due in theaters on Easter weekend, March 29th, 2024, it should be apparent that even without all the third-party speculation, a trailer would be on the way. With just under five months until the release, the marketing campaign should likely kick off relatively soon, first with a teaser trailer, followed by a steady stream of product tie-ins and merchandise.
