Damn this virus is really starting to rattle my cage!
News has come out over the last couple of days that the outbreak has reached Hollywood as Luther, Dark Tower and Hobbs and Shaw star Idris Elba has confirmed that he has tested positive for it.
Elba, has also revealed that he’s concerned as he’s asthmatic and this puts him in the ‘at risk’ bracket. That said, as you’ll see from the below video, he’s holding up well.
Seeing these stars’ battle with this is a great way to let everyone know that this virus is not a death sentence by any means and also, sadly, that none of us are beyond its reach.
This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic. pic.twitter.com/Lg7HVMZglZ

Shortly after the news about Elba, Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju revealed that he too has caught it.
The Norwegian actor wrote: “Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID-19” w.
#WynonnaEarp news: we are temporarily shutting down production on season 4. We are sure this is merely a blip, but we must follow Alberta health protocols. The safety of our cast & crew is of paramount importance to us. Thank you to @SYFY & @CTVSciFi for their unwavering support!

This all comes as news has come out that Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson (both 63) have been released from an Australian hospital and will remain in self-isolation after being treated for Covid-19.
Their son, Chet, confirmed on social media: “They’re still self-quarantined obviously, but they’re feeling a lot better so that’s a relief.”
Hanks was in Australia filming a movie about Elvis Presley.
On getting the virus, Hanks said: “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches.”
But, speaking of celebrities, star Matthew McConaughey wins the internet with his rallying speech about the damned virus:

Now, if that doesn’t get you rallied, nothing will.
Stay safe, nerds and nerdettes!
