With Paranorman hitting our screens this week for its 13th anniversary (I see what you did there), as well as the new animated short, The Thrifting, we got a very cool look at Laika’s upcoming animated feature, Wildwood and, as expected, it looks stunning and now you can watch it below!

Step inside Laika’s world of Wildwood, where a powerful golden eagle commands the skies and magic takes flight.

In this first look, meet The General, voiced by Angela Bassett, a fierce warrior and leader of the skies.

ParaNorman returns to cinemas this Halloween in 3D with an all-new short film!

Behind the scenes, the brilliant artists at LAIKA Studios are hand-crafting a character that soars beyond the screen through breathtaking stop-motion animation.

From director Travis Knight, Wildwood is LAIKA’s next stop-motion animated feature film, based on the bestselling novel by Colin Meloy (lead singer of The Decemberists) and illustrated by Carson Ellis.

The narration in Where Magic Takes Flight was recorded by a live actor and produced by LAIKA’s Creative Marketing team. Every element, from performance to sound to design, is handcrafted and artist-led.

“Hocus Pocus 3 script is done,” says Midler, more original cast returning?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
