WATCH: Teaser Trailer is here for The Fantastic Four: First Steps

The teaser trailer for the highly anticipated The Fantastic Four: First Steps  is here and it looks unlike Marvel/MCU has given us so far… in a good way.

The retro-futurism is pure Jetsons and really sets the movie is a reality that is clearly not the MCU’s Universe 616, meaning it’s going to be interesting to see how this story will fit into the MCU as a whole and just what impact Marvel’s biggest – literally – villain will have when he arrives.

It’s a great trailer, fresh, new and fun… and long, long overdue.

Batman and Gotham City make official DCU debut and we have loads of details and news

Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Moss-Bachrach) — as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).

“No one’s gonna trust anything I say,” Andrew Garfield addresses Spider-man return

And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.

The action-adventure also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles.

Directed by Matt Shakman

The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in cinemas on July 25th, 2025.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
