WATCH: Zack Snyder reacts lovingly to Ikorodu Bois’ remake of the Army of the Dead trailer

If you’ve never heard of Ikorodu Bois, you’re missing out.

They’re a group of Nigerian kids and teen who express their love of cinema and music by remaking trailers, movies and music videos with whatever they can get their hands on… and while they’re not exactly Hollywood, they’re loaded with talent, humor and passion and that’s what being a creative is all about.

Their most recent endeavour is the trailer for Netflix and Zack Snyder’s upcoming Army of the Dead and, the best part? Netlfix got Snyder to sit down and watch the trailer and then chat to the guys afterwards.

I totally understand if someone doesn’t like Snyder’s movies, that’s a personal opinion and one that everyone is entitled to have but what I’ll never understand is the hatred for the man himself who seems very genuine, decent and down to earth.

Anyways, check out his reaction below and let me know all those thoughts.

You can check out the full real trailer here.

Director Zack Snyder reacts to Nigerian comedy group Ikorodu Bois’ (@ikorodu_bois) viral remake of the Army of the Dead trailer.

From filmmaker Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Zack Snyder’s Justice League), ARMY OF THE DEAD takes place following a zombie outbreak that has left Las Vegas in ruins and walled off from the rest of the world. When Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), a former zombie war hero who’s now flipping burgers on the outskirts of the town he now calls home, is approached by casino boss Bly Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada), it’s with the ultimate proposition: break into the zombie-infested quarantine zone to retrieve $200 million sitting in a vault beneath the strip before the city is nuked by the government in 32 hours.

With little left to lose, Ward takes on the challenge, assembling a ragtag team of experts for the heist. With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing’s for certain in the greatest heist ever attempted: survivors take all.

Starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Michael Cassidy, Richard Cetrone, and Garret Dillahunt.

In Select Theaters May and on Netflix May 21.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
