Ok, so we know Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts is in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot. Well, guess what… Sigourney Weaver is in it now too. That’s all the principal cast except for Rick Moranis and, obviously, the late Harold Ramis.
Is this REALLY not a soft reboot?! Because having the whole cast back for a movie that’s not attached to the original seems a bit, well, excessive.
Feig tweeted earlier today that Weaver had signed on to the movie but no word on what role she’s playing… Dana Barrett? Unlikely.
While I can’t see it happening, if this isn’t a sequel of sorts I think I might cry now… having the whole team back in a GB movie NOT related to the originals seems like… torture?
Or maybe I’m just feeling emotional. either way, the gang’s all back!
