Zachary Levy tells fan he’s still pushing for that Chuck movie!

It’s been a couple of years since we heard anything about a Chuck movie but star Zachary Levy still hasn’t given up.

The hit series Chuck ended in 2012 with an open-ended conclusion but the show’s fans – and stars – have been hoping for a movie to wrap the whole show up.

The series saw a lovable everyman, Chuck Bartowski, played by the equally lovable Levi, download a government database into his head, making him an instant superspy who went on weekly adventures with his handlers Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and his best friend Morgan (Joshua Gomez) and it was so much fun. Seriously, if you’ve not seen it, check it out, I promise, since you’re on this page, you’ll love it.

Zachary Levi says Chuck movie is ‘still his goal’

But during the covid-era there seemed to be a lot of talk of the movie happening with Levy giving updates pretty regularly, saying things like “I’m making some real progress on a Chuck movie and I hope I’ll be able to announce something soon,” and“I feel like the time is nigh… I’ve had some very good, promising conversations…”

But alas, it never happened and with Levy playing Shazam, it seemed like maybe it wasn’t ever going to happen, but it seems that LEvy is still keeping the fire burning for a return to the Nerd Herd.

When a fan posted on his X/Twitter feed saying: ““Chuck: the movie” please cliffhangers are evil”, the star replied, saying: “I’m still trying! “

Ever since Chuck ended, I have hoped for a follow-up to give the story a definitive ending and even if it takes another few years, I think I’d happily wait but the show wasn’t exactly a phenomenon, so the longer they leave it, the harder it’ll be but I can assure Levy that he has FTN’s full support on this one.

Good luck, sir!

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
