Zack Snyder confirms Faora didn’t die in Man of Steel…

Remember in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Lex Luther wanted to create a weapon to kill Kryptonians because he feared that someday they would come up against others that were hostile? Well, it seems one was there all along.

You may recall the absolute badass Faora-Ul in Man of Steel (above), the female Krytonian played by Antje Traue who was one of Zod’s warriors? The one who hammered Superman in the Smallville battle (below)?

Well, in the movie she was caught in an explosion as one of the World Engines blew up and, while few questioned it, it seemed she died.

Although, if you think about it… should an explosion have killed her?

One Man of Steel fan brought this question to director Zack Snyder and got a pretty intriguing answer:

So she is still alive… out there somewhere. Scheming, planning… waiting.

This is awesome news as she was an incredible character who now has a real purpose to go after Superman. Could we eventually see her perhaps in the Legion of Doom? Maybe going up against Wonder Woman?

With the news that Snyder is producing Wonder Woman 2 and rumours he’s involved in the Flash movie, perhaps he’s not as outcast by the new Warner Bros brass as he seemingly was by the old. Could we see some of his plans for the DCEU come to fruition yet?

We’d love to see it…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
