SDCC 2017: New drivable Star Wars Landspeeder for kids is here (not for adults)

Preview night at SDCC exploded the usual array of goodies that children and, more importantly man and women-children, are about to go into the red on their credit cards over.

One gem in particular was the Star Wars collectibles from Radio Flyer, who revealed a product so dope that Wars fans will likely sell their grandmothers to get it.

The miniature, driveable version of Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope is a meticulous recreation of Luke’s Tatooine version of a second hand Skoda.

Not that we care.

It hovered and looked cool. The real version fits children ages 4 and up, holds two riders, can travel at 5 mph, and features an interactive dashboard with sounds from the films.

Though plenty of adults will likely be trying to cram themselves in there too, let’s face it.

I came here in a time machine from the 1980s. The time machine was called childhood. I'm getting back there at all costs! (I also live, love, write, lift & pet cats wherever I may find them.)
