While we’re all excited about Temuera Morrison making a comeback to Star Wars as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian season 2, it seems it may be season 3 we should be really excited for.
The Mandalorian is set to return in October this year – and is not, thankfully, delayed because of that damned virus according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek as it was finished filming before the lockdown took effect – and it will see Boba Fett appear, although it will only be for one episode and likely just for a cameo.
However, a new report Boba will become a major part of the story of Season three, which we know is already being planned out by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
However, it seems that along with Boba Fett and Rosario Dawson playing Ahsoka Tano, we will indeed see Morrison playing Captain Rex again but also we’ll see a major character from Star Wars: Rebels as Sabine Wren is now touted to appear as well.
This would make sense as Ahsoka, Rex and Sabine were together at the end of Rebels and it would also make sense that the rumours are that these characters will be in The Mandalorian to promote Disney’s new animated series which will star the trio.
It would also make sense given Wren’s connection to the Darksaber in Rebels and which we saw in the final shot of The Mandalorian.
Man, this is all pretty exciting news for Star Wars fans, especially since The Mandalorian is just so damned good.
