More cool news from Disney Investor Day 2020 as we got two new projects that we pretty much knew were coming confirmed.
At the event Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that a Willow series, based on Ron Howard’s 1988 movie, was set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022.
As we suspected, Warwick Davis will return asWillow Ufgood and Crazy Rich Asians director Jon Chu will be directing the pilot. Filming begins in March in Wales – where the original movie also filmed, believe it or not.
They also confirmed that Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios will be bringing a series to the streaming service based on Tomi Adeyemi’s New York Times bestselling novel Children of Blood & Bone which is a coming-of-age story about a young African girl trying to restor magic to her Maji people.
