Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin has teased a Game of Thrones project that could potentially pick up after the end of the original series, becoming the first sequel in many ongoing GoT projects.

On his NotABlog blog, the writer teased that he has spoken with star Maisie Williams about something secretive, saying of his recent trip to London: “We also got together with Maisie Williams for pizza and pasta, and talked about… well, no, better not get into that, do not want to jinx it.  But it could be so much fun.”

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Game of Thrones headed to the big screen, it seems

Fans of the Game of Thrones series will recall that at the end of it all, Williams’ character, Arya Stark killed the Night King and left to travel beyond the known realms, hinting at more adventures to come and now it seems that perhaps there’s something in the wind.

Could this tie in to the on again/off again Jon Snow series starring Kit Harrington? Only time will tell.

Whatever it leads to, there’s still much going on in the world of Westeros with House of the Dragon season 3 coming in 2026 along with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms next year as well as these, in the future, we will have Aegon’s Conquest series, 10,000 Ships series (TBD) potentially four animated shows and a Game of Thrones movie.

So don’t worry too much about the Arya project because there’s loads on the horizon either way… now, if Martin could just get around to finishing that last book!
