Hayley Atwell wants to be in Doctor Who… as The Doctor! And we’re ok with it

There’s probably nothing to this. In fact, there is nothing to this. But we like the idea of it and want to get it out to you all...

In a Twitter Q&A (below) she was asked if she would like a part in Doctor Who to which she bluntly replied: “I’d like to BE Doctor Who.”

Now, obviously there’s been a lot of talk recently about the Doctor being a female, given the transformation of The Master to The Mistress, or Missy, so maybe Atwell is just aware of this.

Maybe – and we doubt it – there’s been some talk between her and the Beeb – and maybe it was just a natural response.

So here’s our take on it, we would have no issue with the Doctor being a woman, so long as the casting fits. And Atwell would certainly fit. Very nicely.

So, Mr Moffat, if it ever becomes a thing, get Hayley Atwell on the phone… tell her FTN sent you. (continues after Tweet)
