Everyone can relax, Jensen Ackles, the man who would be Batman and the best thing about The Boys season 3, is back for The Boys spinoff, Gen V!
After playing basically The Boys’ version of Captain America last season, his character arc had an ending in that show – although by no means a permanent one – so there was no real hope of him coming back anytime soon… but it seems he’s returning to our screens when the show hits Amazon Prime on September 29th when Gen V arrives.
The image on the left was dropped by EW and it shows Soldier Boy in an entirely different costume as to what he wore in The Boys, which has me wondering if perhaps he’s playing the character during WWII and perhaps we’re going to see him, since Gen V is set in a school, on an international video for students with super abilities? It’s just a guess.
At a Supernatural fan convention in April this year, the star spilled the beans on a “little bit” he filmed for the series but it’s only now been confirmed.
“He and I [showrunner Eric Kripke] were just, like, we were spitballing ideas and workshopping literally in between takes and coming up with a whole variety of takes,” Ackles said.
The show will also feature a host of returning faces from The Boys, just to remind viewers that this is the same world.
