While, I cannot tell a lie, I have fallen out of love with The Boys and have yet to watch season 4, this is a cool bit of news and is something I will likely be checking out.
At SDCC 2024 it was revealed that Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles will be getting is own spinoff series as Soldier Boy along with co-star Aya Cash who will also be returning as Stormfront, the show will be called Vought Rising.

Executive producer Paul Grellong said of the show: “It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.
“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
Ackels’ Soldier Boy appears at the closing of season 4 but creator Eric Kripke says Soldier Boy will be a big part of The Boys’ fifth and final season: “He’s going to be in Season 5 quite a lot.
“We want him to be a big character. There’s a lot of good father-son emotion between him and Homelander that we never really got a chance to play that we’re really interested in.”
So, love The Boys or not, it seems that its greatest character, Soldier Boy is set to have a golden future (or past) ahead…
