With The Defenders arriving last weekend, we got the first teaser for The Punisher series (here) and now we have this pretty damned awesome picture of the main man himself.
The image features Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle AKA The Punisher as he’ll appear in the standalone Netflix series
He first appeared in the second season of Daredevil and was an instant hit so it was only a matter of time before he got his own series as he was a big hit.
His appearance in that show directly referenced his backstory where he was an ex-Marine and family man whose family were murdered after things went wrong when he tried to stop a drug lord, sending Castle into a murderous rage that has led to him becoming the one-man army, force for good and anti-hero.
Bernthal will star alongside Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah, Deborah Ann Woll, Daniel Webber, Jason R. Moore, Paul Schulze, Jaime Ray Newman, and Michael Nathanson.
The Punisher is expected to debut on Netflix in 2018.
