Looks like Darth Vader IS in Star Wars Rebels…

We’ve all been wondering if the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, would be continuing his Order 66 duty in Star Wars Rebels and hunting down the remaining Jedi and, indeed, the beginnings of the Rebellion that will cost his boss so much in the future…

Well, wonder no more. Probably.

The picture above is from Hasbro’s official Rebels online page where it says:

Want to feel just like your favorite Star Wars villain? Then strap on this incredible mask and battle the Rebels, just like the sinister Darth Vader from Star Wars Rebels! You’ll be the Dark Lord of the neighborhood when you battle in your Darth Vader mask!

Includes mask.

Take on the identity of a Star Wars villain with this mask Mask makes you looks like Darth Vader Collect them all (each sold separately)

We draw your attention to the part where it says: “Just like the sinister Darth Vader from Star Wars Rebels”

We think it would be very cool to see the man who was formerly Anakin in animated form hunting Jedi down… so let’s hope it happens.

Star Wars Rebels is set between the events of Episode III and IV, an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. It takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.

Starring a small band of heroes: Sabine, Kanan, Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper.

Star Wars Rebels will be produced by Lucasfilm Animation, featuring many of the key talents that made Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It’s executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman, is scheduled to premiere in October 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
