One of the best things about the Netflix TV MCU shows so far is Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle AKA Punisher as seen in Daredevil Season 2.
Look, we can’t lie we didn’t love Luke Cage, Jessica Jones or Ironfist… but we did love Daredevil’s first two seasons and we loved the Punisher we got.
And we’ve known for a while that a standalone series was happening, we just didn’t think we’d see it until next year however it seems we’ll get it much sooner.
Series director Deardbhla Walsh spilled the beans in a new interview with THR: “[I’ve directed] one other time that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November.”
So while The Defenders premieres on August 18th, it seems we’ll only have three short months to wait for Castle to arrive in his own series.
So November will have Thor: Ragnarok, Justice League and now The Punisher.
