In a very unexpected move, it seems that Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series with Stranger Things and Deadpool & Wolverine producer Shawn Levy.
Levy, along with writer/showrunner Drew Crevello and Hasbro Entertainment, are developing The Forgotten Realms, the name at the ‘centerpiece of the Dungeons & Dragons universe, a fantasy world released in 1987 that has become home to some of the brand’s most famous characters and launchpad for some of D&D’s most popular adventures’.
Chris Pine thinks a Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves sequel could still happen…
While nothing is known about the series, it’s perhaps worth pointing out that 2023’s massively underrated Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie was also set in the Forgotten Realms setting of the famous game.
The series was originally set to happen at Paramount+ in 2023 with a straight-to-series order but was ultimately scrapped.
While it’s unlikely, I would love if this turned out to be a sequel to Honor Among Thieves, though I doubt that’ll happen at this stage, I’ll still be watching for sure.
Thoughts? I know you have them…
