Remember Star Wars Detours?
The comedy Star Wars animated series developed before Disney took over the reigns that, let’s be honest, looks really bad and was inspired by George Lucas’ love for the Family Guy Star Wars specials never saw the light of day despite being teased as the first animated series featuring the original trilogy characters but now, it seems this may no longer be the case.
Detours is a show that many – myself included – know is going to be bad but, being the real Star Wars fans we are, really want to see it and word is that we may be getting it on Disney+ next month.
We already know that new animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch is debuting on Star Wars Day, May 4th and now we’re hearing it may not be the only ‘new’ Star Wars content that day.
The series stars real Star Wars, em, stars such as Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian and they’re joined by well-known names such as Seth Green, Catherine Taber, Andy Richter, Weird Al Yankovic and Seth MacFarlane as Palpatine, bringing back his turn as the character from the likes of Robot Chicken.
Anyway, would you like to see this released? Would it make you Star Wars Wall of Weird? Let me know all your thoughts and keep your eyes peeled on May the fourth…
