Following the exciting news from SDCC 2019 last night that Brandon Routh would be returning to play Superman in The CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths event this December, we have another big name from he DC TV show multiverse confirmed now too.
At the SDCC Batwoman panel it’s just been confirmed that Burt Ward, Robin in the 1960s Batman TV series will also appear.
Now, it’s certainly possible he could be Dick Grayson in the crossover – albeit a much, much older version – but it’s more likely he’ll just be joining other DC TV alumni like Lynda Carter, Dean Cain, and Helen Slater who all appear in the Arrowverse but not as characters (Wonder Woman, Superman and Supergirl) they played in other shows.
But… imagine if he was like an Arrowverse version of Batman Beyond’s Bruce Wayne.
Man, these shows may have their downsides, but they certainly know how to deliver for the fans in the fun stakes too.
