More Star Trek news from SDCC 2019 as we have our first look at the upcoming CBS All Access Star Trek animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks.
The first season is ten episodes and will arrive early next year.
Lower Decks co-creator and executive producer Mike McMahan joined executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin to introduce the crew of the USS Cerritos: Ensign Beckett Mariner voiced by Tawny Newsome, Ensign Brad Boimler voiced by Jack Quaid, Ensign Tendi voiced by Noël Wells, and Ensign Rutherford voiced by Eugene Cordero.
The ship’s bridge crew include Captain Carol Freeman voiced by Dawnn Lewis, Commander Jack Ransom voiced by Jerry O’Connell, Lieutenant Shaxs voiced by Fred Tatasciore, and Doctor T’Ana voiced by Gillian Vigman.
We also have a look at the show’s Holodeck (bottom).
Not sure what to make of this series at the minute, but I do love a fresh approach to something, so I’ll not be writing it off until I see it.
