Ooooooooh… this is exciting news!
A new animated anthology series has just been announced at Star Wars Celebration that has us very excited.
We heard a while back that a Tales of the Jedi series is coming and now we know it is and what it will be.
Liam Neeson will return to voice Qui-Gon Jinn in the series which will focus on the prequel era and tell the early stories of, among others, Count Dooku, Mace Windu and Ahsoka Tano – no word on the voice actors on these yet.
It will air this Fall and we expect it to be something similar in format to Star Wars Visions.
Here’s the details we got so far:
- It is written by Dave Filoni and Charles Murray
- It will have a total of six episodes total with three for Qui-Gon and three for Ahsoka
- The series will be light on dialogue and mainly told through visuals.
- The first episode was shown at Celebration and was called Life and Death and was about an infant Ahsoka on a hunting trip with her mother.
- Dave Filoni told the crowd that if they didn’t like the episode he would “just put it on a shelf”. We assume he was joking.
