Good news – well, maybe bad? – for fans of Supernatural as it looks like the final run of episodes will be airing on The CW soon.
The show’s fifteenth and final series had to be put on forced hiatus in March when the world went into lockdown, forcing the show to postpone its filming.
At the time showrunner Andrew Dabb said: “We have filmed through episode 18 (of 20), however our visual effects and sound departments have closed because of the outbreak. So, right now, the episodes can’t be finished.”
However, as we are beginning to see around the world, things are slowly – but surely – returning to normality and it seems that the Winchester brothers are following suit.
During a conference call The CW’s Mark Pedowitz promised the series will wrap this Fall, saying: “We already have five episodes in the can.
“Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles] will go back as soon as they’re able to to finish up the last two episodes. We hope that they will be able to start shooting sometime in late summer or fall.”
But he cautiously added: “And if not, we will then become flexible and rearrange our scheduling.”
That means that between now and then they plan to film, finish and air the rest of the series…
If we hear more, you’ll be first to know.
