From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
We recently had it confirmed by the show’s producers that it is definitely set in the same universe as the movies and while this was ridiculed by many, in a world where there numerous Batman franchises, Transformers and more, I don’t blame them for wanting to confirm you’re watching the same story only from time long before the movies.
In this exclusive clip from Dune: Prophecy, Valya (Emily Watson) and Tula (Olivia Williams) discuss the acolytes, including Lila (Chloe Lea), Theodosia (Jade Anouka), Jen (Faoileann Cunningham), and Emeline (Aoife Hinds). Credit: Courtesy of HBO.
Co-produced with Legendary Television, the six-episode season debuts Sunday, November 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. New episodes will debut on subsequent Sundays.
